Hanging By a Moment....

It's been exciting here in Louisiana for the past couple of weeks! The biggest event occurred last Saturday afternoon: Hans' sister, Heidi, got engaged in Jackson Square!

(Yes, the picture is a little over exposed - I was set for taking portraits, not landscapes!)

It was wonderful!  We didn't get to see the proposal itself, though, because her fiance, Jonathan, had us - both sides of the family - waiting inside Muriel's for them!

Heidi had no clue we were all there, or that we even knew this was going on!  So when they walked in, Jonathan asked for his reservation - didn't shock her that much that he would have a reservation for the two of them, since he had obviously worked hard to plan and execute the proposal - and they walked into the dining room. Heidi was about to sit at a small table when she happened to notice the 10 of us all sitting there!

It was wonderful! All we women were so giddy!  She's marrying a really great guy, too - he fits right into the family. I think they're both pretty lucky! I, of course, had the best time just snapping picture after picture after picture, myself!

New Orleans is such a great place to do these sorts of things, too - there's so much atmosphere, so much romance, it's perfect! And I have to throw out that, if you're ever in the area, Muriel's is fantastic!  The staff is incredible, the food is beyond delicious, and the ambiance is unbeatable!

Now we just wait for the big day (no, they haven't set a date yet!  They haven't even been engaged a week! Give them a chance to breathe, ya'll!). Of course, regardless of when, it will still be here sooner than we'll think!

Now we get to get on with the rest of May (can you believe it's already May???). Mother's Day, Grandmommy's birthday, end of school, doctor's appointments, graduation and a wedding!  It's going to be a busy, busy month! And I have plans to enjoy all of it!
